Super Bowl

The Super Bowl will be shown on the Big screen TV in the Dining Room! Kickoff is at 6:30 on Sunday, February 5! The Residents still like to watch it even though the Steelers are not in it! The New England Patriots will be playing the New York Giants.

Leap Year!

A leap year has 29 days instead of the usual 28 it usually has. 366 days instead of the usual 365. The chance of being born on that day is 1 in 1500. If you are born on leap year, do you get your driver's license on Feb. 28 or March 1st? This decision is made by each State. Most States make it March 1st.

Hoagies

We will be having hoagies for lunch on February 9! Gladys Graham's Family has done this several times, and we are so thankful to them! The Residents love them! This month will be in celebration of Gladys 85th Birthday! Congratulations!

Joe Lege, the Accordion Man

Joe Lege, the Accordion Man will be coming on February 1 at 1:30! He is such a wonderful Entertainer! If you are in the area at this time, stop in and join in on the fun! Maybe you can even do a polka or two!

Beaded Necklaces

We will be making beaded necklaces for crafts on February 2. This is one craft that the Residents never get tired of! We use thousands of beads a year!

Happy Groundhog Day, February 2nd

I would say its time for Winter to be over, but I don't think it ever got here yet! Will we have snow in the Spring, or is this just an extremely mild Winter?

Valentines Day Party

We will be having a Party for Valentines Day on Feb. 14! Snacks, games and lots of fun for everyone!

Thank You Thelma Linden and Family

We would like to thank Thelma Linden and her Family for the generous donation to Melody Manor for the Activity Program! We were able to get some new exercise DVD's, Trivia Books, New Wii Games for the Wii System, Craft items and much more! We are so thankful that you thought of the Residents at Melody Manor for this! President's Day, February 20

In Honor of President's Day, we will be doing a penny & nickel Bingo! Lot's of Lincoln's & Jefferson's going around! Who knows, maybe we will even throw in a few Washington quarters & dollars! For prizes!

Rent Rebates

Don't forget about the Rent Rebates! We need to have the proof of income for 2011 in order to send them in. You can fax it to us or drop it off as soon as possible!

Security Cameras

Melody Manor is having Security Cameras installed. This is something we have wanted to do for a long time. We think it will be very helpful in providing added safety for all the Residents.
